Place Kamarkundu (Hooghly)
Earlier post of similar grass – https://groups.google.com/d/topic/indiantreepix/ have tried taking this cradle apart and see what crawls out and what else is growing there? It was hard to get a closer view of that space, for i was guarded by steel grid. I will try to obtain some more info on the diversity of that small patch as much as can be noticed through steel frame. i am not taking any risk, i will look through girdles only. However, i can see, in the first image, a few Acalypha indica and Cayratia trifolia growing there Cayratia trifolia (L.) Domin is very common in this rainy season along the railway tracks and also along rural roadside. I have modified the first picture to show where it and other herbs can be found in that particular image.
Please, note that my earlier post of C. trifolia (L.) Domin also came from the same place, Kamarkundu Rail Station – efi thread
