Leaves linear to narrow lanceolate, decurrent. I think yes Anaphalis busua.


Amaranthaceae herb for id 231210MK3: please help to id this herb species found in bear shola of Kodaikanal. Are these from Amaranthaceae or belong to a different family?

Can it be, by any chance a species of Gnaphalium, Asteraceae


Asteraceae for sure. Could be Anaphalis or Gnaphalium. I would have gone for Anaphalis but seeing Nidhan ji’s comment I am getting doubtful. Perhaps it may help if some one may list species of these two genera reported from that area.

Nilgiris: Compositae for identification 041212MK02: Please help me to identify this shrub found in the open high altitudes of Nilgiris. I think this might be Endemic to the region. Shrub height is about 2.5 feet.
