Bryophytes are considered as least beautiful plants by angiosperm photographers. However, I saw this liverwort in my recent tour in Upper Alaknanda Valley in Garhwal. Now it looks that these insignificant looking creepers can also be made a target of camera. I am completely ignorant of Taxonomy of Bryophytes and only on the basis of comparing few photographs believe that it may be an Asterella species. Nice Catch … These are pioneers in succession. How we can ignore these little beautiful plants…
