This one was shot from Morni Hills and Gori valley, I feel this should have been uploaded with Cirisium in the second fortnight of Asteraceae, as this has only tubular flowers.. still I am including this here… Baccharoides anthelmintica (Centratherum anthelminticum)..

Vernonia anthelmintica from Mumbai : Attachments (3). 3 posts by 2 authors.

Vernonia anthelmintica, a softly pubescent herb with tubular lilac florets. The achene is prominently ribbed. The specific epithet is indicative of the inherent medicinal value of this herb.
Seen today (2.7.130 afternoon along the rain-fed Silonda trail in Borivali National Park, North Mumbai.

Thank you sir for the update and for the link to your post. Had referred to The Plant List and Baccharoides anthelmintica (L.) Moench is given as the synonym of Vernonia anthelmintica (L.) Willd. therein.
