Plz id this tree: pa89 – 14jan2013: Plz id this tree from Yeoor region. I think it is Bauhinia but don’t know the species. It is fruiting now and the pods are curled up and twisted. Sorry the photos are not very clear, the pods are high up on the tree and i could not go close b’coz of dense area.


This is the female tree of Bauhinia foveolata, an uncommon Bauhinia in Mumbai’s National Park.
