The colours of fresh new foliage was striking; not sure whether a tree or a scandent shrub, the plant was at a considerable distance.
Please help with ID, if the leaves in photos give any idea.

It is so hard…
Canarium strictum seedling.
Seed collected from Kolli hills of Eastern ghats.
How to germinate:
1. Soak the dried fruits in water collected under tree.
2. Remove the fruit layer by end of day. It will be still hard to remove. Use a blade or wooden hammer.
3. Now soak it for 3 days in water.
4. Put in Sun for few hours so that cracks are visible
5. Use individual bags for each seed pod.
Germination begins around 15 days
