Came across this interesting Fungi in the forest cover near Hasha chi patti (Matheran region). (13th Sept-2009) This interesting fungus is Clathrus chrysomycelinus. This picture is good. Large number of eggs are seen from which this lattice-like white spheres have arisen. Wow! what a beauty! The term ‘eggs’ is one I would not have associated ever with fungi!
