This is the time for Cymbidium intermedium (ALOE LEAF CYMBIDIUM ORCHID) at this place. In the attached image there is a bee enjoying nectar of this beautiful orchid. i had to search. such a tiny creature does so much for mankind.

Habitat- Green house May I know who you are and where is the plant from? Obviously its not found in wild in Chandigarh. I would say this is Cymbidium aloifolium yes I have to agree with …, both may will feel same but C.aloifolium is smaller than C.pendulum in all aspects.

Both plants are available in Kerala forests especially southern Kerala. There is a monograph on Cymbidium by Puy and Cribb
They write:
Side lobes of the lip not exceeding the column, and anther cap, obtuse to sub-acute, finely mottled with maroon or red-brown ——– C. bicolor.
Side lobes of the lip longer than the column and anther cap, acute, veined with maroon —— C. aloifolium
So lets follow this from now on and change the labels accordingly.
Here the side lobes are not exceeding the column and anther cap…. so this should be C. bicolor. . References:
