Photographed this grass on 17-12-09 form Jaisalmer area of Rajastan.
Local staff and Dr. G. Singh an expert from AFRI, told me its name as some sp of Dactylotenium, but i forgot its sp.
I try to find information from net, but could not get anything.
Experts pl id its species

it is Dactyloctenium sindicum

It is Dactyloctenium aegyptium

this is not a Dactyloctenium aegyptium
the inflorescence is very small in this sp
this is some species of Dactyloctenium, which is mostly found in Desert Area.

Then it must be D.sindicum. No other Dactyloctenium is reported from desert area.

there is two species of Dectyloctenium recorded from desert
Dactyloctenium aegypticum (L.) P. Beauv.
Dactyloctenium sindicum Boiss.
