In botany when we do collections and make voucher specimens, then at times we also submit photographs as vouchers and paste it on the herbarium sheet and then submit it to a recognized herbarium. So if some voucher is to be submitted or deposited then it has to be ‘COLLECTED’ too….. So we do use this term in botany at times….not a bgi deal… so every one please cheer up…

Habitat-Wild, found in a paddy field Is it Drocera sp? No doubt that it is an insectivorous plant.
Drocera burmanii
You found this in a paddy field? I have a question about its habitat. From what we know these plants grow in nitrogen deficient soils or highly acidic soils. Do you have any photos of the paddy grown beside it?
Request for ID 23 June 2012: These photos are taken in 2006 at Kerala / TN border.
Requesting for ID Looks like Drosera! Yes sir, it is comparable with image of following link. Waiting for other opinions. Nice pictures of Drosera burmannii… Such plants should be photographed with macrolens in closeup mode. Now a days Samsung L100/200cam with video will capture nicely. Do you know neither Hooker nor Raju had any modern gadgets to phtographs at highest altitudes in the World. Dr Satish at Palode joined me in two such tours and captured all Orchids in Sikkim upto 20,000. Biju Frog expert alsofollowed . Iwsh youngsters take adventurous trekking expedition as WW M Smith made a beginning 75 yrs ago. I treat this plant as Drosera burmanni.
