A complete list of Asteraceae (Compositae) of India has been published by BSI in 2009 as FLOWERING PLANTS OF INDIA- DICOTYLEDONS VOL 1 (ACANTHACEAE – AVICENNIACEAE) written by S.Karthikeyan, M.Sanjappa & S.Moorthi. Photographs (about 215) in this document are added by S.R.Yadav & N.Sasidharan. As per this document (Karthikeyan et al.,2009) following wild species of Gnaphalium are known in India:

1- Gnaphalium coarctatum Willd.
2- G. flaccidum Weinm.
3- G. polycaulon Pers.
4- G. thomsonii Hook.f. 

No Gnaphalium seems threatened in India as no species is mentioned in Red Data Book of Indian Plants by Nayar and Sastry (1987-90).

I have updated eFI (efloraofindia) page on Gnaphalium & Pseudognaphalium

Attempts have been made to incorporate most of the species available in India & nearby areas with details & keys directly or through links as far as possible. It’s quite possible that there may be some discrepancy in the accepted names & synonyms taken from other links.

Species discussed so far in efloraofindia are given at the bottom of the page in the form of links against Subpages. On clicking them one can see all the details.

If someone can provide complete list of Indian species with source references it will be wonderful.

Any comments/ corrections are welcome.
