Habit : Cultivated Yes for sure. Common garden plant in this part of Karnataka. There are no Humming birds in India. It is liked very much by Sunbirds in India. Plant ID request 23072011MC1: Hamelia patens & Purple sunbird, male, in eclipse plumage. I have noticed lots of sunbirds and A. dorsata. Not many A. cerana.
