This ornamental species of Sunflower? was shot from CPRI campus in Shimla.. please id.. Head diameter Please? I hope Helianthus tuberosus This can’t be Helianthus tuberosus in which disc is yellow in colour and ray florets much longer. This should be Helianthus annuus only.

too much fungus growing over the saved seeds before they could be milled but organic sunflower seeds are a very good source of selenium magnesium and vitamin e, if you can get fresh seeds without the fungus attacking it

Thanks, … To me also appears close to images at Helianthus annuus It appears to be a short, compact plant rather than the standard tall sunflowers. We cannot see the flower fully opened but you might try looking at Helianthus annuus ‘Mrs. Mars’. Precisely. many possibilities. that’s the point. often cant pinpoint the cultivar

Helianthus annuus Paquito is a dwarf sunflower with a sunny blend of golden yellow, lemon, red and bicolour flowers. Paquito has a true base branching habit, it is early and a totally new type of Sunflower. Paquito is dwarf and ball shaped for pot production or low bedding. Paquito produces numerous lateral flowers forming a true ball. It flowers in only 60 days and is an excellent pot plant.
