KAS Week DS_031012_02 Need Id:  1 correct image as above.
These are again yellow sunflower like flowers – but smaller in size.
Please tell me if both the attaches pics are of same flowers or they are different? Need their id please.

The images are with different flowers. First one seems to be Linum mysurens and the other most probably Senecio bombaynensis (syn. S. grahamii)

Yes, …, first one seems to be Linum mysurens and second one Senecio

Satara, Oct 2014 :: Requesting ID – small plant with white flowers :: ARKOCT-21 : 2 posts by 2 authors. Attachments (4).
Requesting to please provide ID of this small plant with white flowers captured near Satara, Maharashtra in October 2014.
I think, the flowers look like Linum mysurense, is this the white variety or some other completely different?

Agree that they look like Linum mysorensis.
Would like to know from other experts.

Looks like L. mysurense / mysorense though the flowers I have seen have always been yellow with petals having a notched apex.
From The Plant List database:
Linum mysurense B.Heyne ex Benth. is unresolved name. Linum mysorense B.Heyne ex Wall. is also an unresolved name.
Linum mysorensis does not exist in the above database.
Hope the taxonomists on the group will give a further insight into the nomenclature issue.

Linum mysorense Heyne ex Wall., Numer. List 1507 1829. (Syn: Linum humile Heyne ex Wall.; Linum mysurense B.Heyne ex Benth., Edwards’s Bot. Reg. 16: t. 1326 1830.) as per ITIS

I am an agriculture scientist from ICAR-NBPGR.  I am working on linum here as a breeder. In 2021 we did one exploration for the collection of L. mysorense. While searching for some more information, I came across one of your message on googlegroups.com (in 2014)  where you have posted pictures of L. mysorense (requesting its ID) with white colored flowers. We were able to collect yellow colored plants. Looking at the flowers and plants it seems that the plant is L. mysorense. I wish to include this information and integrate with what we could collect through our exploration.
In this regard I humbly wish to ask you  if I can use this picture to show the variability available in this wild linum relative?
Also I request you to kindly share your email address so that that I could connect you there if required and you do not mind it.

You can use these pictures in your work.

In case you have any other queries, you can reach out to me on my email address available in this google group.
