This is just a guess. Let us wait for the experts to comment.

Yes looks like Lindernia sp.

It may be Lobelia heyneana (Campanulaceae)… http://plantgenera.org/illustration.php?id_illustration=111034&language=English

Please compare.

Looks like Lobelia alsinoides

It is very hard to select one between the L. heyneana & L. alsinoides. I can only say that leaves are not obovate and smaller than 3 cm. So, i select L. alsinoides Lam.

Thank you Sir for the ID of this plant, i found one at FoI – http://www.flowersofindia.net/catalog/slides/Chickweed%20Lobelia.html

Yes, It is Lobelia alsinoides Lam. (Campanulaceae). Ovary is inferior and lips are gamopetalous and biliped, is a good character for identification.

It took me hours to decide if it is Lobelia alsinoides Lam. or L. heyneana Schult; also had been identified in my earlier post.

I agree with your id …

I had sen this small herb on the way to Matheran via Chowk.

Leaves sessile, alternate

no doubt the flowers seem to match the descriptions in various Floras, but how about the leaves?
All my references speak about ovate leaves, crenate-dentate, or sub-orbicular etc etc. Illustrations of this plant also show something different, see for example Fl or Maharashtra by Dr. Almeida.
However in Flora of China we find

Leaves ovate to ovate-lanceolate, longer than broad, margin less prominently toothed.

6b subsp. hancei

Perhaps this is it.
Will experts please comment?

The extent it can be L. alsinoides is the same extent, if not more, it can be L. heyneana Schult, or even L. zeylanica L., not the FoC one but the FBI.iii.425, which bear some resemblance with Lobelia anceps.
