Beautiful flowering tree for id : 7 posts by 4 authors. Attachments (4) Can you id this beautiful tree which if shot in Malaysia. The strong yellow flowers were very attractive. I heard it is an exotic to Malaysia.
It may be a Terminalia sp.
Looks like Lophanthera lactescens (Malpighiaceae) to me.

Thanks for the links. Interesting that this tree, despite it’s South American origin, is apparently more popular in Malaysia and Australia than in the American tropics.
