Pentasachme wallichii Wight is a small hanging herb growing near waterfalls, streams. Not common in Uttarakhand.
There was a long discussion on Pentasachme in eFI earlier
Photographed near Birthi, Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand).

I have also added the list of Indian species of Pentasachme in eFI.

This very interesting taxon was shot on way from Chokori to Munsiyar on October 3, 2012….
this has a peculiar habitat.. we observed this only under water falls at a few places… this herb has pendant branches and downward facing flowers….
will be happy to have more information..

Pl. clarify the correct Id.

Pentasachme wallichii to me. Please compare with type specimen:

P.wallichii is the only species in this genus known in Uttarakhand.
