Pereskia bleo (Rose Cactus, Leaf Cactus) is a leafy cactus, native to the shady, moist forests of Central America, that grows to a woody, prickly shrub about 2 m tall with large, orange flowers resembling rose blossoms.

This thorny shrub is growing near my house. I do not know whether it was planted. It is covered in flowers during may. ON browsing it seems to be Pereskia bleo or the rose cactus

Could not find any match for Pereskia grandis on Google search.
I think it should be Pereskia bleo as per threads herein & as per the following:

This flower is commonly known as ROSE CACTUS. I searched Google with this name and find the equivalent is Pereskia grandis (even the fruits matched with the plant I am having.


Yes, …, ROSE CACTUS is the common name. But Pereskia grandis is incorrect.

By mistake the flower in the image was written as Pereskia grandis, which is wrong. … have corrected it to be Pereskia bleo. I am thankful to them. Attaching a corrected image.
