Seen this shrub at the outskirts of Kudal, Maharashtra.

As per Dicotomos the characters for identification is as —
Herbs or Shrubs
Calyx 5 lobed
Stamens 4, staminodes absent
Corolla lobes in bud is contorted
Flowers 10 – 20 mm across
Flowers in clusters or contracted cymes or spike; anther cells spurred at the base
Flowers 3.0 – 4.0 cm long, white ; bracteoles large, ovate — Petalidium
The detail description for Petalidium barleriodes is given as below —-
Straggling shrubs, 0.6 – 1.5 m high with straw – coloured twigs, Leaves on the main stem petioled, broadly ovate, 5 – 10 cm long, crenate – serrate, Bracts absent; Bracteoles ovate – elliptic, Calyx glandular-hairy; Corolla narrowly campanulate, up to 35 mm long, yellowish-white, pale blue or white, Capsules ca 12 mm long.
on the basis of above morphological characters of my photographs, I identified the attached Photographs as Petalidium barleroides, but I am confused with recent discussion on this species. Experts Please coment on or I D my photographs. Earlier Indiantreepix thread related to Petalidium barleroides Appears to Petalidium barlerioides only.
