Posting photographs of Polygala erioptera.
Place  — Kaas plataeu — Satara —  Maharashtra.

why do you think it P.erioptera? To me it just appears to be P. persicarifolia only.
Hi … will you please tell us the meanings of erioptera and persicarifolia ?

let me try,
erio-wooly ptero-winged (so looks like erioptera- wooly winged)
persicari – the name for Polygonums  folia -leaved (having leaves like Persicaria=Polygonum:
and Persicaria is a Medieval name referring to the likeness of the leaves to a peach tree,

I can’t find what the author had in mind when they gave this name, probably you have to check etymology by finding original reference )

I do agree with you. It is Polygala perrsicarifolia. (Ref — Flora of Maharashtra. Dr. Almeda. Vol 1 page-70–71).
