Could someone please ID the plant species in the attached images?. Which Fern species is this?
This is an inhabitant of the shola-grasslands of Brmahagiri Wildlife Sanctuary (1430m) in Kodagu Karnataka (May 2008).
ID help will be greatly appreciated

Is that the common and widespread one ? If so I recollect hearing it as a Pteridium (aka Bracken). Caution, second hand info only and hope to hear the expert determination.
