Viscous hairy erect undershrubs. Leaves alternate, 3-foliolate; leaflets up to 8 cm long, acute, ovate acuminate. Peduncles axillary, 2-flowered; flowers yellow; bracts usually caducous; Calyx not accrescent, lobes lanceolate, acuminate, nearly equal. Petals included or exserted. Stamens diadelphous; anthers uniform. Ovary subsessile, usually 2-rarely 1-ovuled; style long, filiform, much incurved; stigma capitate. Pod indented without between the seeds and with a partition within; seeds 2, strophiolate.

Fabaceae undershrub for ID from N Karnataka : Attachments (1). 4 posts by 2 authors.

Please help ID this undershrub found on rocky hill in N Karnataka in Oct.
Branches 50 cm long, many from base, terete. Leaves 3 foliolate, 3-5 cm; petioles 2-3 cm; lateral leaflets 1-1.5 cm; sessile, ovate, acute, oblique at base; terminal leaflet 2-2.5 cm, rhomboid ovate, acute; petiolule 8 mm. Flowers 2 on slender axillary peduncles 2-3 cm long; pedicels 5-8 mm; calyx 5-7 mm; lobes 3-5 mm long; corolla 8 mm. Pods 1.5×0.7 cm; flat, beaked, 2 seeded. Whole plant silky tomentose.
May be a sp of Rhynchosia.

Subherb trailing on the ground. Sepals equal to petals. Leaves pubescent.
I infer that it could be Rhynchosia rufescens.
