Certainly the petal structure does resemble like an Orchid.

Yes when I saw it for the first time from a distance I thought its a new species of orchid.

Roscoea alpina Royle is a frequent herb in subalpine areas of Uttarakhand.
Here photographed near Kalamuni, Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand).

It is Roscoea species

Roscoea species so far in efi: Roscoea alpina & Roscoea purpurea

I found these plants seeding on my walk yesterday and I took some photos to aid identification. 4 images.

Flowers required for confirmation

I thought the earlier photos in the thread were flowers but I may be wrong.

Roscoea species flowers appear to be different as per link

Thank you very much … I did not even think of Roscoe alpina which I have photographed and posted from here before. As per this image, we could be seeing the seeds of R. alpina only. Please advise. I learnt something new today. Please thank … on my behalf.

Yes, I agree as per GBIF specimen.

Yes …, this Roscoea alpina Royle with dehiscing mature fruit.
