ANJUN26/27 Sedum sp. for identification (Churdhar Trip 26) : 4 posts by 2 authors. Attachments (4)

Family: Crassulaceae
Date: 24th May 2015
Place: Renuka Ji-Haripurdhar Route, Himachal Pradesh

Habit: Herb

Rosularia rosulata (Edgew.) H.Ohba (Crassulaceae) to me. Earlier known as Sedum rosulatum Edgew.

In the Himalaya (or probably elsewhere also, in the mountains) adding elevation of the place helps in IDs.

Thank you sir. I will make sure to add that detail in the coming posts.

id from Kalatope – al210210a :
The spring is in the air and soon there will be flowers everywhere… I hope I have learned a little from the careful advice given by all of you and can present you with beautiful photographs with adequate data for the collection (leaves, stems, flowers, petals, sepals, fruits…)
remind me if you ever have time, the details which should be ideally photographed… in the meanwhile here is one from my old collection

habit: herb
habitat: wild
location: Kalatope sanctuary, chamba
altitude: 2200 mts
time of the year.. April-may

Not very sure but could be Arenaria orbiculata

Please reconsider the ID of this species. It is NOT ARENARIA ORBICULATA (CARYOPHYLLACEAE).
Basal leaves in the rosette and flower itself strongly suggest it as ROSULARIA ROSULATA (Edgew) H.Ohba (Crassulaceae).
The post may please be placed at proper place.

I found this on my recent trek to Ilaqa (3300m) in search of flowers. I have several plants to share which I will do in subsequent emails. Please advise if I am making a mistake in identifying this properly.

Thanks, … I think it should be same as other three species found in India as per Rosularia do not match as per
