Semi-climbing evergreen shrub with slender branches; leaves opposite, pinnate compound, 10-15 cm long; leaflets 5-9, ovate, 1.5-5 cm long, serrate, acute or acuminate, glabrous or wooly beneath in axils of veins; flowers orange-red to scarlet, 4-6 cm long, in terminal racemes; corolla limb spreading 4-parted; capsule linear, compressed, 3-6 cm long, 8-10 mm wide.
