Vernonia elliptica DC. is a shrubby plant much used as an ornamental for its dense evergreen foliage in Pantnagar.
To me this plant looks similar to one uploaded by … as Vernonia elaeagnifolia- efi thread efi pages on Vernonia elaeagnifolia & Vernonia elliptica Yes ! It is correct IX Tarlmounia elliptica (DC.) H.Rob., S.C.Keeley, Skvarla & R.Chan !
. Please help ID this plant. It was seen as a small bush about 2 feet tall, and also hanging from a tree about 15-20 feet tall.

Saw the same plant at a resort at Chikmagalur, in bloom at this time of the year, April 2021. The one I saw in Kerala in December did not have flowers.
