It is a small tree with obovate leaflets 5-12 cm long. Leaflets are hairless, thick and pointed. The tree bears trumpet shaped flowers with 5 flaring petals with crinkled margins. The flowers, 5-6 cm long, are rosy white, with yellow in the throat. The tree is cultivated in India, but is not common. It sheds its leaves in Jan, and flowers are season most of the time (Mar-Oct) in bangalore;
