These shots recorded from Chakrata area perhaps also belong to Nepeta hindostana, please suggest..

Not N. hindostana, this looks more like N. leucophylla.

This is another species of Nepeta found commonly in Chakrata area..
Can this be Nepeta hindostana ??

This might be Nepeta hindostana only as it is one of the few species of Nepeta found other than HP and Kashmir.

I think close to images at Nepeta ciliaris Benth. (syn: Nepeta leucophylla Benth.)

Please suggest proper id of this herb which is quite common in Chakrata, I think this can be Nepeta gracilis

Thanks, …

As per The Plant List & WCSP, Nepeta gracilis Salisb. is a synonym of Nepeta annua Pall.
Your plant appears different from the illustration of Nepeta annua Pall. at
http://www.plantillustrations.org/illustration

Pl. check with images at Nepeta ciliaris Benth.

Nepeta… ??

Closest I can go is Nepeta leucophylla as per GBIF specimens from Nepal- one and two.

However, POWO and CoL consider it as a syn. of Nepeta ciliaris Benth., though it may be different.

I feel inflorescence pattern and petals design looks slightly different.

N.ciliaris, coerulescens, discolor, elliptica, hindostana, laevigata, lamiopsis and staintonii

are listed in the book.

I have seen some difference in petal designs in this genus.

Forwarding herewith a publication on Nepeta sps.

Among those listed, N.ciliaris is the closest.
