This small herb was also shot from Chakrata area.. I hope this is Cyanotis cristata D. Don… please validate.. Thanks, …, More photos are available here.
Something is misleading …, The earlier one and this one are not from the same plants….
Earlier one is look likes Cyanotis vaga but this one is similar to Cyanotis villosa….
Little bit confusing… Now please validate that is both picture taken from different locations?
I don’t think there is any earlier distributional record of Cyanotis villosa in Uttarakhand. It may not be Cyanotis villosa as per images in another thread. Cyanotis vaga is variable species. Besides my earlier views, The above species is closer to Cyanotis vaga only. Cyanotis vaga (Lour.) Schult. & Schult.f. (accepted name) ??? : 5 posts by 3 authors. Attachments (4)

Can it be Cyanotis beddomei (Hook.f.) Govaerts ? Not Cyanotis beddomei ! It is Cyanotis vaga. I too agree with … I guess Cyanotis vaga (Lour.) Schult. & Schult.f. differing from my earlier suggestion ! This is more inclined towards Cyanotis vaga, but I afraid that it is such a polymorphic and widespread species. Someone should study Cyanotis barbata and C. vaga complexes.
