Date: 03 September 2024
Elevation: 1400m.
Habitat : Wild Yes this is deformed form of Habenaria dentata, which is infact the case with Habenaria malintana too. Habenaria dentata is a self compatible species which seems also to lose pollen from its own pollinia on its stigma. This causes a lot of inbreeding, resulting in showing up of a lot of deformities. And hence so many names and fake new species both from India and abroad. Very interesting to see it still has a spur attached to it. Habenaria malintana has a very tiny spur or almost none. My idea was not to merge all under H. dentata but to keep the spurred plant with H. dentata and non-spurred plant with H. malintana. . SK 3876 11 October 2023 – Orchidaceae: 4 very high res. images. Habenaria malintana (Blanco) Merr. ??
One of the forms of Habenaria pelarioides. POWO, CoL, IPNI and WFO have no mention of this sp. and could not be retrieved with this name.
However, they have mentioned this as a syn of malintana. Only GBIF has this name retrievable.
By the ebay you have described this sp as syn of malintana viz.
Additions to the orchid flora of Laos and taxonomic notes on orchids of the IndoBurma region Enclosing herbarium images from Nepal also!

Habenaria pelorioides C.S.P.Parish & Rchb.f. in Trans. Linn. Soc. London 30: 139 (1874) Sorry for the confusion. Actually, this synonymy was also done by me. This is also from the same spot and should be deformed Habenaria dentata as
ID in the another thread : https://groups.google.com/g/indiantreepix/c/AQAJ
Yes sir here also there is a spur, so it’s my mistake. It’s good to keep under H. dentata!!
