I think this is the final answer to all current problems of posting on the group.
… post is nicely visible in our inbox.
Even more; the pictures being directly pasted ……no further clicks are required.
Regarding the degradation in quality of photographs. I don’t perceive any significant difference.
I have posted one plant today with similar method which is looking fine.
Just few more things to note.
There is no Copy- Paste options in Google docs in Edit drop-down menu. You have to use
Ctrl -A to select entire page then
Ctrl-C to copy the selected material(Whole page in this case)and
Ctrl-V options to paste the content in the body of Compose message in Email.
Once you have pasted everything you can reduce the bytes of the mail by…..
Click on the picture. You have the choice of controlling the size. I have clicked on Large instead of original size. The size gets reduced. Even then the picture quality remains and the posting is successful without bouncing back.
Just add the subject line as … has said in usual manner(Mandatory) to keep the post searchable.

… well said.
Only that: extra efforts need not be put to change sizes of the embedded picture.
WHY ? because it is merely a textual link that fetches the picture from its location where stored (in this case: Google Docs).
Changing size of picture in the mail body only changes numeral digits in the textual link.
