This appears to be a member of Ericaceae. Sadly the genus is not familiar to me. The closest I know is Arbutus but the leaf shape seems wrong.

Please check species of Vaccinium of Ericaceae family.

Hmm! Interesting. Vaccinium I had not thought of.
I am familiar with many Vacciniums and grow several sp.
It is the leathery evergreen leaves,that appear to be in whorls up the twig that I am finding hard.
I have found a link to a botanical drawing for Vaccinium vacciniaceum.
Would you be kind enought to say if you think I have a match.

I too used the same link to reach Vaccinium but it was difficult for me to run the key without the specimen.
I think V.vacciniaceum is a certain choice.

Herb from Darjeeling area, some times on rocks and tree branches.

Is it a herb?… Some thing like Clerodendrum….

It is a shrub grows 3- 6 feet. One plant i found in shaded area

There are chances to be a Berberis Sp

For sure this is Vaccinium vacciniaceum
