Fabaceae (Faboideae) Week_Tephrosia candida_RKC_07_08112011:   Tephrosia candida (Roxb.) DC.
Loc: Upper Siang distt., Arunachal Pradesh (ca 700 msl)
Date: October, 2005

A different Tephrosia than what I have seen earlier.
I think ‘candida’ refers to the white coloured flowers here.
We have pulple coloured T.purpurea also.

This species (Tephrosia candida DC., Fabaceae) with large white flowers was photographed at Kakri Ghat near Almora, Uttarakhand.

White flowers are quite striking from the distance.
