It may be Typha

Yes, it may be Typha owing to the habitat and flat (?) leaves. Its difficult to confirm id in vegetative condition.

Looking at narrow leaves, it could be T. laxmannii, in similar narrow leaved species T. minima leaves are very short.

Thanks, … But is it reported from the area?
Catalogue of Life and POWO give its distribution only from western Himalayas.
