Osmoxylon lineare (Merr.) Philipson, Blumea 23: 106 1976. (Syn: Boerlagiodendron lineare Merr.);

Ornamental Plant for ID : Nasik : 291111 : AK-1:  An ornamemtal cultivated plant at one of the plant nurseries at Nasik taken on the 28th of Nov,11.

Name given was Aralia.
First time I am seeing an Aralia plant flowering. Picture of the leaves attached.
Kindly confirm id.

Dizygotheca elegantissima Vig. & Guill. family Araliaceae

What comes out though the Google search for Dizygotheca elegantissima
looks much different from this plant. The leaves are heavily serrated. I am adding a link for your kind perusal.
I was seeing it also for the first time….really different looking than the ones we normally come across.
It does look different in the link you have sent.

As suggested by …, this is not Dizygotheca elegantissima. We will see some more post before jumping into the conclusion.

I hope Osmoxylon lineare

Yes indeed Osmoxylon lineare

at Toptropical mention it on their website that its a rare green plant from Thailand… no wonder its showed upo in Nasik… Indian nurseymen are regularly visiting Bangkok and bringing in their greeneries.. this must be one of it…
Hvenot seen it appear in our local nurseries though..

Since the plant under discussion is already identified, my pictures will have little use now.
But since I had promised you that I would take more pictures, attaching some more taken today at the same nursery.
Out of the two potted plants flowering seen by me last time, one was missing probably sold out.
I was lucky to find the other.
What I noticed was that the leaves from top to bottom are the same type.
Hope the pictures are taken the way you wanted them to be.

Osmoxylon lineare: Sorry for using one of our member’s photograph for naming this plant. It was correctly identified as Osmoxylon lineare of Araliaceae, native of S E Asia, Philippines, commonly known as Miagos Bush

Got it identified from Facebook Indian Flora of Plant Identification Groups.
Strange but true when i checked it back on our group, to my surprise, the plant was uploaded from Nasik from Nasik, and it was initially identified by … as Dizygotheca elegantissima. Tanay raised doubt, supported by …, and it was me who identified it correctly as Osmoxylon lineare, without having ever seen the plant, and today after five years I am looking for ID. This is how memory fails with age.

Thanks a lot,  …   It happens with so much of flora around.

Yes, you had identified it for me earlier.
