For Id from Kurukshetra University-2012:

This leguminous shrub was shot from Rose Garden of Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra in last week of May 2012. I have been observing this shrub since my M.Sc. and have never been able to find it in flowering..this time again this was laden with large pods..wish to have the id..is this an Astragalus sp.


Suggestion for id of this shrub were received from … and … (I am thankful to both of them), … has identified this as Sophora secundiflora..


Interesting plant. Fruits are typical of Sophora.


This shrub was recorded from a garden in Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.. I could not get fresh flowers till now..
Sophora secundiflora, correction will be appreciated..


Please find the flowers of the same plant, from Rose Garden, KUK.. recorded last week, I hope the id can be resolved as Sophora secundiflora..

wonderful. i know this as texas mountain laurel, quite fragrant. ripe seeds become bright red. when you have chance can we see them please here?
