SHRUB ID——14th DEC 2011—-S.S.—-056—-TOWARDS LAVA:

Please can someone id this shrub.
Taken 15th April in the afternoon.
Between Kalimpong and Lava. West Bengal.
Habitat- ….. Wild, along the road.
Plant Habit- Staggly Shrub..
Height/Length-….Leaves ….See pic.
Flowers Size/ Colour….. Very small. See pi

Looks like a Maesa sp. to me.


Thank you yet again … Could it possibly be Maesa indica???


Many species of Maesa are reported from NE India and this one doesn’t look like M. indica to me. A close up of the flower may help to get the correct ID.
