Spreading annual herb with slender branches; leaves alternate, linear to filiform, 5-12 cm long, nearly glabrous; head solitary or 2-5 together, ligulate (only ray florets); involucre bracts in two series, outer 2-3, triangular, 2 mm long, inner 5, linear-lanceolate; florets 5-9 with pale yellow 5-toothed corolla; achenes brownish, about 1 cm long, curved inwards, covered with retrorse spines in basal part and apically with antrorse spines.
