… some fabaceae tree

Dear friends,
Not able to recollect or get to this fabaceae. Moderate sized tree, not sure whether planted or wild. Flowers remind of Derris.

Guessing … A Dalbergia sp. ?

Good possibility of Dalbergia, …

No. This is Xanthophyllum arnottianum of Polygalaceae. Most of the Polygalaceae members looks like a Papilionoide flower. In Phylogeny Polygalaceae comes very Close to Leguminosae

Thank you very much … for this ID.
Great help. Very new plant to me, a bonus, a tree from Polygalaceae!!

I hope we are treating Xanthophyllum arnottianum Wight distinct from Xanthophyllum flavescens Roxb.
Please comment.

Sure, I will let you know.

As per Catalogue of Life, Xanthophyllum arnottianum Wight is a syn. of Xanthophyllum flavescens Roxb.
