30th Tree Appreciation Walk in Malad Trail at SGNP, Borivali: The fear of drought & the anxiety of water cuts are over for us at least for time being…….Rain enters into the period of festivity & celebrations………Ganesha is smiling on Mumbaikers (As Bejan Daruwala would say)………With peace & laughter in our heart & songs on our lips……we chanced upon a very reclusive, much less traveled path, hidden among the tall trees of Mahua, Teak, Chironji, Haldu and tons of wild flowers…… a path called Malad Trail in Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivali. We invite you all to join us there for the Tree Appreciation Walk….

The 30th walk is on Sunday 16thSeptember, 2012
Venue: Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivali
Time: 7.30
Duration of walk: 2 hours
Meeting Point: SGNP’s gate near the ticket window.
Most Important: Malad Trail is a restricted area and we have taken permission to conduct the walk there. It is about 1/2 km inside the park from the main gate.

Those who are coming by car have to pay approxi Rs.200/- which includes Rs.100/- car charges, 30/- entrance fees, 50/- for the Malad trail and 20/- guide fees.
Others have to pay about Rs.160/- per head…..Rs.30/- entrance fees, 50/- for the Malad Trail, 20/- for the guide and 60/- for vehicle to Malad Trail & back.
(At the gate jeeps are available; they charge about 60/- return fare).
Very Important : Please Don’t be late, specially who are coming for the 1st time for the trail in the park & not familiar with the area….there will be other groups also for their walks and it will be very difficult to locate us once we leave for Malad Trail

We are trying to arrange for a vehicle to take people to Malad trail from the gate……its necessary for us to know the number of people to be taken by jeep, so please register you name with us if you want go by jeep.
