Wonderful compilation. Lovely pictures. Kas darshan at one go………. , Scenic route, colourful plateau, scenic lakes…. everything saying—” Kuch Khas hai—- Ye Kas hai”…

Those were the golden days..when we used to walk and observe flora freely……but no more now…. …, your pics reminds me of my good time that I spent at Kaas between 2008 to 2011 but 2012 is all together different story.

Kas Week:: PKA1: Kas region– Heaven on earth:

Few photographs compiled from my collection of region Kas. The entire region surrounding Kas is beautiful. Satata-Thoseghar-Sajjangad-Ajinkyatara-Bamnoli- Vinayak nagar math——-
Kas plateau is no doubt distint and unique, but region around this is also worth exploring……
Trek route exists from Kas plateau right upto Mahabaleshwar and its a pleasant walk.

Great Compilation of flora, fauna and the mother nature. One should visit at least once the paradise at our backyards. Your presentations are always different and unique so is your collection. Looking forward for many more uploads.

KAS WEEK : Books and Websites: Many members have been posting pictures of flowers from Kas plateau near Satara.
I have two books about Kas Pathar. Attaching the Cover photos of both. One is written by Shrikant Ingalhalikar ji which was launched recently. It is a very good field guide. The other one is written by Dr. Sandeep Shrotri a medical doctor from Satara.

Kas Week : RV :: 15th Sep,08: I could not resist sending this pictures……on a little humorous note…….these are two huge rocks on the left side of the road on main Kas plateau….gives out an impression as if some one is sitting and watching……..one of the Dear Nature’s sculpture !!

In thumbnails, it perfectly looks like that.

even the head of hair looks like it… and the neck … etc.. perfect…

Yes, I liked the picture too. I think he is guarding Kas 24×7 🙂
