It is my pleasure to share few images of a queer looking 8-lobed Caralluma adscendens var fimbriata (Apocynaceae

Normally the corolla lobes are 5 in number. Whether 8-lobed phenomenon is common or is it queer…??

Habit: Perennial herb.

Habitat: Xerophytic, Scrub forest

Sighting: Chikmagalur, Karnataka, about 1200 msl
