Please help me in identification of this grass which is about a metre height. The habitat is shady and post-monsoon. I don’t have close-ups of this plant.

Looks like Eragrostis species.

A kind of Eragrostis 

Panicum maximum
Panicum maximum var. pubiglumis (Guinea grass variety with pubescent spikelets). This fodder grass has escaped to the wild as a weed and is now commonly seen in Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab
