. Cochlospermum vitifolium: No images seen now. Size: was a small-medium sized tree. Maybe 20ft. Naturally also grows to a small height only. Found this in a nursery near my home in Bangalore. Very similar to Cochlospermum religiosum (yellow silk cotton tree), but the flower has lot more petals (can say a “double version”) Gardener kept the flower near his deity’s feet. The tree is almost leafless when in flower Close-up pics of the leaves which were at the lower level. The top was totally leaf-less. Close-up of some of the fruits Cochlospermum Variety : 4 posts by 4 authors. Attachments (1) A ‘double’ variety of Cochlospermum blooming in collection of Bajaj Auto factory at Pune.
