Very well written interesting article on barbet. I will watch out for the bird here, in Mysore.


I spotted two of them on banyan tree two days back.

I see them regularly on fish tailed palm, African tulip tree.
I miss the sounds of Coppersmith (Megalaima haemacephala) which I used to listen to in IIT Madras.
But I do like the Ko-troo … Ko-troo sound.
