It is my pleasure to share a few images of Hoya wightii (Apocynaceae) said to be endemic to Peninsular India. Habit: Epiphytic, shrub Habitat: Evergreen forest
Sighting: Sakaleshpur, Hassan, Karnataka, about 1200 msl
Date: 17-08-2015 Please help me in distinguishing this species from the closely related Hoya ovalifolia Wight & Arn., occurring in the same area and having leaf-margins not recurved and the corona lobes concave above. Please compare it with Hoya ovalifolia which seems more probable for the above mentioned characters. efi page on Hoya wightii & no page as yet on Hoya ovalifolia Names of Plants in India :: Hoya wightii Hook.f.: HOY-a — named for Thomas Hoy, botanist and head gardener for the Duke of Horthumberland … Dave’s Botanary

Regarding Kannada names: ಅಂಬ್ರಿ ambri, ಪೀಪಿ ಬಳ್ಳಿ pipi balli. For me it looks correct. English transliteration for ಪೀಪಿ ಬಳ್ಳಿ is Peepi balli .
