It is my pleasure to share a few images of Hoya wightii (Apocynaceae) said to be endemic to Peninsular India.

Habit: Epiphytic, shrub

Habitat: Evergreen forest
Sighting: Sakaleshpur, Hassan, Karnataka, about 1200 msl
Date: 17-08-2015

Please help me in distinguishing this species from the closely related Hoya ovalifolia Wight & Arn., occurring in the same area and having leaf-margins not recurved and the corona lobes concave above.

Please compare it with Hoya ovalifolia which seems more probable for the above mentioned characters.

Seems to match with images of Hoya wightii at FOI
Does not match with Hoya ovalifolia at hoyor net

Regarding Kannada names: ಅಂಬ್ರಿ ambri, ಪೀಪಿ ಬಳ್ಳಿ pipi balli.  For me it looks correct. English transliteration for ಪೀಪಿ ಬಳ್ಳಿ  is Peepi balli
