Commelina andamanica S.M. Joseph & Nampy ;
Commelina andamanica- A new species from Andaman & Nicobar Islands : I am happy to inform you that our team have described a new species of Commelina, viz. C. andamanica S.M. Joseph & Nampy from Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The new species is published in the latest issue of Phytotaxa journal (online). The species has been collected in September 2010, from Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Its been a wonderful trip i have ever had in my life. Thanks to all who came up with a helping hand during our 3 week exploration.
