Mahakali ALM is an NGO involved in the development of the Andheri East area around Mahakali Caves working under the guidance and support of Mumbai Nagar Palika with the active co-operation from the local citizens. They maintain a lovely garden with a lush green lawn, children’s play area , wooded area for meditation and have some beautiful trees like Baobab, Tiwar, Sita Ashok, Undi, Amalta, Bakul, Kailashpali, Bael …….Some of them are flowering & fruiting……its hard to believe that 10 years back it was a garbage dump. They encourage tree plantation in their area, give free sapling in monsoon, almost finalized to set up a bio gas plant in the garden, run a small library……we invite you all to join us for the Tree Walk in their lovely paradise….The walk is on Sunday 7th April,2013 Venue: The Mahakali ALM Park, Opp Punjab & Maharashtra Co-op Bank, Mahakali Caves Road, Near Poonam Nagar, Andheri East Mumbai 400 093 Time: 7.30 am Duration of walk: 2 hours The list of the trees we are planning to show is attached herewith and this walk is free.
