Poaceae, Cyperaceae and Juncaceae Week: Poaceae 07042013GS5 grass for ID from Kashmir-GS70 : Attachments (4). 3 posts by 2 authors. This grass was photographed from below Jawahar Tunnel in Kashmir. Pl. help in ID It is Cymbopogon sp. The racemes are yet to emerge out from the spathes. Probably C.distans if altitude is above 1500m or C.jwarancusa if altitude is low. Yes the altitude is about 2100 m. Thanks for the lead.

Yes it should be Cymbopogon distans Does not look like Cymbopogon distans and no distribution ! It is very much distributed in India including Kashmir. |
